The Cubs and Brewers will play a night game on Thursday, but it took until after 11 p.m. to determine the start time.
With the Phillies extending their series with a win over the Dodgers, the Cubs and Brewers will start Game 4 at 8:08 p.m. Central time. The game will air on TBS, and will stream on HBO Max.
The Phillies and Dodgers will get the day started at 5:08 p.m. Central time.
When would Game 5 be played?
If the Cubs can force a winner-take-all Game 5 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field, that game would be played on Saturday at either 3:38 p.m. or 7:08 p.m., depending on the outcome of the other National League Division Series.
Who will be the starting pitchers in Game 5?
While neither team has named their starting pitcher yet, the extra day off in the series could help reveal that answer.
Matthew Boyd started Game 1 for the Cubs on short rest, and he would be in line to start Game 4 on his regular four days rest if the Cubs choose to go that route. The Brewers could then do the same thing with Freddy Peralta, who struck out nine batters and allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings of work in a Game 1 win on Saturday.
