There is a rising demand for efficiency and simplicity in warehouse operations. For far too long, the operations in global warehouses have been based on outdated pen and paper processes or legacy “green screen” devices. This leads to considerable inefficiencies which translate to missed opportunities, reduced profits and most importantly, frustrated workers.

This is where Zebra steps in. With a deep understanding of these pain points, Zebra’s cutting-edge wearable solutions are designed to enhance efficiency, improve worker comfort, and reduce the physical strain of daily operations, ensuring that warehouse teams can meet growing demands with confidence.

Of course, it’s easy enough for us to just say these things. But we can prove it, too. Let’s take a quick look at our hero warehouse wearables – the WT6400 and WT5400 – and the important differences between the two.

Hero Products – the WT6400 and WT5400 wearable computers

WT6400

The WT6400 is industrial-grade and wearable in extreme environments, like -30°C freezers. It features a large 4.7-inch display with glove touch support and an optional integrated keypad positioned below the screen for convenience. Additionally, the device includes a 13MP side camera and is ergonomically optimized with a low center of gravity for comfortable, long-term use. Built-in industrial connectors allow for the use of wired finger barcode scanners or Bluetooth ones can be paired if preferred. It is best suited for tasks like loading, unloading, receiving and picking, as well as inventory management. It is also suitable for sorting and replenishment operations, making it a reliable tool for streamlining workflows and improving efficiency in demanding environments.

WT6300

On the other hand, the WT5400 is the WT6400’s stripped back cousin for less demanding environments. Both are similar but the former differs in subtle ways. It also features a 4.7-inch display and a low-profile design for comfort. And while the WT5400 can also be used for order picking and packing, it is more suited to returns processing and inventory management. It is also ideal for managing online order click-and-collect operations and put-away and replenishment workflows, making it a versatile tool for modern logistics and retail environments.
