TAYLORSVILLE — On Friday evening, the Taylorsville police department arrested a man with an active felony warrant.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. around Cowdell st. detectives contacted a 51-year-old man that had a warrant out for his arrest for involvement in weapons and drugs, according the Lt Jaren Fowler with the Taylorsville Police department.
When the man refused the exit the house a search warrant was obtained SWAT team was called out due to the mans history of violence and firearms.
The man eventually did come out of the house but “was less than compliant.” The SWAT team used non-lethal method at which the man immediately gave up and was taken into custody.
No one was harmed and the SWAT team is clear of the scene.
