Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are in their parenthood era.

The couple — who quietly married in May 2024 before exchanging vows again five months later during an Italian destination wedding — welcomed their first child, a “sweet baby girl,” via adoption in the summer of 2025.

“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” Brown and Bongiovi wrote in their announcement post on Instagram in August 2025.

Brown and Bongiovi have received love and support from friends and family regarding their decision to become young parents.

“I’m just really happy for her,” the actress’ Stranger Things costar Noah Schnapp told E! News in September 2025. “I’m really excited to see her flourish.”

In August 2025, the couple revealed that they had welcomed a daughter via adoption. While Brown and Bongiovi haven’t shared her name, fans suspect it begins with an “R.”

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail that same month captured the new parents taking a stroll with their child in the Hamptons, and eagle-eyed fans noticed that Brown’s phone case was marked with the initials “RWB” in bold red letters, possibly hinting at her baby girl’s name.

Brown and Bongiovi plan to raise their daughter on their Georgia farm, which is home to sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, cats and dogs.

“They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. [Millie] loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” a source told PEOPLE shortly after the pair’s baby announcement.

Brown gave her followers a glimpse of her “t swift october” on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos that included a first look at the couple’s daughter.

The image appeared to show the trio on the It’s a Small World ride at a Disney park, with Brown and Bongiovi leaning their heads together as they looked down at their baby. Brown blurred her daughter’s face in the photo.

During an appearance on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast in September 2025, Bongiovi’s dad, Jon Bon Jovi, opened up about becoming a grandpa for the first time.

“Crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he said. “They adopted a girl, and we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild, your baby. It’s beautiful.”

The “Livin’ On a Prayer” singer went on to admit that he’s become that “pain in the butt” grandfather who wants to “see pictures like every day” of his granddaughter.

Brown always dreamed of being a young mom

In August 2025, a source told PEOPLE that Brown had always wanted to be a young mom — something Bongiovi was on board with.

“Jake was always on the same page. They’re in it together,” the insider said. “She’s so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There’s no doubt that she’s a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes.”

Just months before welcoming her daughter, Brown reiterated that sentiment on the Smartless podcast in March 2025.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” she said. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”

On the podcast, Brown hinted that adoption was a possibility for her and Bongiovi.

“I really want a family. I really want a big family,” she shared. “I’m one of four. [Jake is] one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”

Brown continued, “My home is full of love for anyone and anything. That is what we stand by, Jake and I.”

Brown said she’d “support” and “protect” her kids if they pursued acting

Brown, who began acting at age 9, is open to her children following in her footsteps as child actors.

“I would do exactly what my parents did [for] me, which was just encourage me to be myself,” she told Pedestrian TV in March 2025. “I would support them but protect them in the way that my parents protected me.”

The Electric State star continued, “So yeah, I always encourage any young person to achieve their dreams, and if I can help in any way, I absolutely will.”
