CLOSINGS/DELAYS/CANCELLATIONS    October 10-13

Effects from a Nor’easter are expected to impact our area beginning late Saturday evening and continuing through Monday. High tides, heavy rain, coastal flooding, and wind gusts near 60 mph are possible.  Residents, visitors, and businesses are advised to take precautions.  A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect Sunday through Monday.

City of Rehoboth Beach –  Residents, visitors, and businesses please secure all loose umbrellas, outdoor furniture, and trash cans. Oak Orchard/Long Neck – DelDOT advises motorists to use caution when traveling on Oak Orchard Rd in the area of River Road as high tides may cause the road to flood.  Flooding also possible in the Long Neck area.
Dewey Beach – Town officials expect flooding from the Bay on Sunday – residents should prepare.  Updates regarding beach and ocean closures will be posted to the town website and social media.

Kent County Parks & Recreation  – Children’s Halloween Fantasy Trail has been relocated to the Kent County Recreation Center (1683 New Burton Road, Dover, DE).  11-1pm
Bethany Beach – Bandstand performance with Hot Sauce canceled – there will be no rain date
