Nick Saban declared Saturday during ESPN’s College GameDay that Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium is haunted.
“So, you get the Tip 6, which I watched because Auburn was basically out of the SEC race,” Saban said of the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare.” ”They win that game on that. Two weeks later, they beat us on the Kick 6. They knock us out. They get themselves in it.
“This place, I’ve told you this before, is haunted. Absolutely, it’s haunted.”
Saban, 73, said some of the craziest things he’s seen on a football field have taken place on Auburn’s campus.
“We lost games there in overtime,” he said. “We won games in overtime. We won on the Grave Digger on fourth-down and 31.
“They’ve come back and beat us. (Alabama) got 12 guys on the field (in 2019) when they have the quarterback in to punt.”
Saban said, “This may be the only stadium in the country where I have a losing record. Horrible.”
Saban does a have a losing record in Jordan-Hare Stadium. He is 5-7 in his career as coach at Alabama and LSU. He has a 5-4 record at Jordan-Hare Stadium as the Alabama coach.
