Oregon quarterback Dante Moore’s Heisman Trophy odds took a hit following Saturday’s upset win by the Indiana Hoosiers.
Miami’s Carson Beck is now the favorite to win the 2025 Heisman, according to DraftKings.
Moore (+1600) threw for 186 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions on Saturday as No. 3 Oregon fell at home to No. 7 Indiana.
Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, who threw for 215 yards with a touchdown and interception in the upset victory, meanwhile saw his odds climb to +600 while the Hoosiers improved to 6-0.
Moore wasn’t the only top college quarterback who struggled Saturday.
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer, in his return from a fractured right hand that necessitated surgery less than three weeks prior, threw for 202 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in a Saturday loss to Arch Manning and Texas.
The Red River Rivalry win wasn’t enough to get Manning back among the Heisman favorites after his struggles at Ohio State and Florida earlier this season.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson (+400), on the other hand, remained a favorite after leading his team Saturday to a 27-24 win over Missouri.
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (+1200) retained the highest Heisman odds of any non-quarterback after he connected with quarterback Julian Sayin (+1400) for five catches, 42 yards and a touchdown in a Saturday win over Illinois.
Beck stayed atop the DraftKings odds at +360 despite the fact that the Hurricanes were off this weekend.
Having earned early Heisman buzz with a 5-0 season-opening streak, including three wins over ranked opponents, Beck will look to lead his team to a sixth straight win when Miami returns to action next Friday against visiting Louisville.
