He says Qatar and Saudi Arabia have intervened and urged an end to the conflict, prompting Afghanistan’s pause.

Muttaqi stresses Afghanistan’s desire for good relations and peace with Pakistan, saying, “We only want good relations and peace.”

He reminds that Afghanistan has endured 40 years of conflict and is now focused on stability and peace.

He warns that if Pakistan refuses dialogue or peaceful relations, Afghanistan “has other options” to protect its interests.
