Marcus Rashford is closing in on a move to Barcelona and some details of the proposed transfer are now starting to emerge.
The Manchester United forward will move on a season-long loan with an option to buy set at around €35 million, according to Marca.
Rashford will move after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Premier League side had an option to buy of €40m but opted not to take it up.
Barcelona will also cover Rashford’s entire salary during the loan, according to The Athletic, with the forward expected to jet in to the city shortly.
Reporter Ben Jacobs adds that the Manchester United man has taken a hefty pay cut to secure the move and “will be paid around €10m-gross, including bonuses.”
Mundo Deportivo say Rashford should link up with Barcelona’s pre-season training squad straightaway and will then join the squad for the tour of Asia.
Rashford will therefore become the club’s third signing of the summer after goalkeeper Joan Garcia and young forward Roony Bardghji.
