Nebraska football will hit the road for its matchup with Minnesota on Friday night as favorites. 

Oddsmakers weighed in on the Big Red and Gophers on Sunday afternoon with Nebraska opening as a four-point favorite. 

Nebraska is playing back to back road games after going on the road and knocking off Maryland 34-31 with a last-minute touchdown pass from Dylan Raiola to Dane Key. 

Nebraska sits at 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. 

Minnesota will bring a 4-2 record in to Friday night’s contest after defeating Purdue 27-20 in Minneapolis. The Golden Gophers scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to help pull away from the Boilermakers. 

Minnesota holds a 37-25-2 overall advantage in the series with the Huskers and has dominated the matchups in recent years, winning five straight games. The last four Minnesota wins have all been by one-score. 

The Huskers most recently played the Golden Gophers in 2023 — the first game of the Matt Rhule era — falling 13-10 on the road.

Friday night’s matchup with Minnesota will be televised nationally on FOX and is set for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff.
