Ahmed Saad, from Reading, was recognised by EdTech organisation DOHE and has a chance to win up to $100,000.
He said: “I have supported over 600 startups in my careers, both as an individual and through my day to day job at Oxford University.”
“I was absolutely thrilled to be selected as one of the top 20 coaches to be part of the DOHE awards and I am excited about what the future holds.”
Mr Saad was chosen from more than 100 global applicants to deliver a 20-week programme for a startup as part of the 2025 Global Startup Coach Awards.
He currently works at the Entrepreneurship Centre at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
The awards scheme, now in its second year, celebrates coaches who support early-stage businesses.
