The infamous Iowa home destroyed during the filming of Slipknot’s 2004 “Duality” video is headed for foreclosure auction tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14th.

Located at 1050 16th St. in West Des Moines, the property served as the chaotic backdrop for one of heavy metal’s most iconic music videos — where the band performed as fans smashed windows, tore down ceilings, and turned the living room into a mosh pit.

The three-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom house sits on 0.77 acres and was assessed at $336,400 this year, per the Polk County Assessor’s Office (though on Zillow, it’s estimated value is set at $307,800). Court records show the Bank of New York foreclosed on the home in January after its owners defaulted on a $141,403.82 mortgage dating back to 2005.

Slipknot’s “Duality” remains one of the band’s most popular tracks, boasting over 1 billion Spotify streams and 463 million YouTube views — immortalizing the house’s destruction in metal history.
