LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — Arkansans can now acquire a driver’s license and state ID from the Samsung Wallet on Galaxy smartphones, as well as the Google Wallet.
The Arkansas Mobile ID, a digital driver’s license and ID, was launched in March and is free for anyone with an Arkansas driver’s license or state ID.

It offers a contactless, secure, state-approved credential that can be used at participating businesses and venues.
The process to obtain it takes less than five minutes. Since its launch, about 40,000 Arkansans have downloaded the app.
According to a release, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is preparing for the Mobile ID to be available in the Apple Wallet by 2026.
The ID is also accepted by the TSA at airport checkpoints across the U.S.
