Square Enix has announced Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a new 3-versus-3 team boss battle arena game for iOS and Android smartphones. It will be developed in partnership NHN PlayArt. It will be a “free to play game with in-app purchases.”
In the gameplay footage seen, players will “purify crystals, accumulate Bravery, then unleash power at maximum Bravery.” The goal is to defeat a boss faster than your rivals. Characters from across the series can be seen, with various styles like Cloud (FFVII series and Lightning (FFXIII series), as well as other characters like Krile (FFV), Gaia (FFXIV) and Prompto (FFXV).
Out in 2026, the game is set in modern day Tokyo, with “full Japanese voice acting” and will feature an expanding story with new characters being added later on. “Ability illustrations” by various artists will appear in the game and characters can be customized with different outfits.
