Video released by police in Wichita, Kansas, appears to show a woman being “taken by force” outside of a home early Sunday morning.
The department posted the video on X and asked for the public’s help in identifying the woman and the man seen grabbing her from behind. The woman screams as the man drags her down the driveway of a home, the video shows.
“Your assistance is vital in helping us ensure her safety,” police said in a post Monday on X. “If you recognize her or have any information about her identity or whereabouts, please contact 911 immediately.”

The incident happened around 2 a.m. local time in the 1400 block of North Volutsia, police said. The homeowner reported the video to the police on Sunday evening.
Investigators have followed up on numerous leads but have not yet been able to identify the pair.
Police said at a news conference on Tuesday that they have no other videos of the incident and have canvassed the area. Investigators have also checked missing persons reports dating back to Oct. 1, but none of them are believed to be connected to the case.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to the identity of the man or woman.
The department referred to the incident as a potential abduction and said it had asked regional and federal law enforcement agencies for assistance.
“Our team has processed the audio, reducing background noise, hoping that someone will recognize her voice. Please take a moment to review the video,” Wichita police said on X.
Neighbors said the incident has left them shaken and concerned for the woman’s safety.
“The community, we’re all concerned,” Shawntrice Beard, who lives in the area, told NBC affiliate KSN-TV of Wichita. “I stay really close. … Things do happen, but not like this.”
