Matt DiBenedetto, who has piloted the No. 99 Chevrolet for Viking Motorsports throughout the entire 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, will not be behind the wheel of the car for the season’s final three races.
On Monday, Viking Motorsports announced a driver change, which will see Connor Mosack slide behind the wheel beginning with this weekend’s United Rentals 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

After 43 unforgettable years, an emotional chapter has closed in ARCA Menards Series history. Venturini Motorsports, the powerhouse development team that shaped the careers of countless NASCAR stars and revolutionized the sport with milestones like the first all-female pit crew, has officially handed over the reins.
Their final race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bull Ring marked not just the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one, as Nitro Motorsports takes the wheel.
Built by Bill Venturini Sr. and transformed by his son Billy into a championship-winning juggernaut, VMS leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, pride, and purpose. As the team steps back, their influence lives on through drivers they’ve mentored, teams they’ve inspired, and a foundation that continues to support the next generation of racers. This is the story of how one family changed the face of stock car racing and passed the torch with grace.
TobyChristie.com’s Luis Torres spoke to Bill Sr., Billy, as well as drivers, who benefited from the success of the developmental ARCA team over the years.
