West Virginia’s Big 12 basketball schedule is set, and the Mountaineers will open league play in primetime. WVU tips off the 2025–26 conference season on Friday, January 2, at Iowa State in an ESPN2 game — the first Big 12 matchup of the new year.
The Coliseum gets its conference debut four days later when Cincinnati visits on January 6 (7 p.m., ESPN2). The Mountaineers will make plenty of national appearances this winter as the Big 12 begins its new broadcast deal with ESPN, FOX, CBS, Peacock, and TNT. WVU will host Kansas on January 10 (FOX/FS1), Colorado on January 17 (CBSSN), Baylor on January 31 (ESPN2), Texas Tech on February 8 (FOX), Utah on February 18 (FS1), and UCF to close the regular season on March 6 (CBSSN).
Road trips include Houston (Jan. 13, FS1), Arizona State (Jan. 21, Peacock), Arizona (Jan. 24, CBS), and Oklahoma State (Feb. 24, CBSSN). Non-conference games with Pitt (Nov. 13, FS1), Wake Forest (Dec. 6, ESPN2), and Ohio State (Dec. 13, ESPNU) round out the early slate.
The Mountaineers will appear on every major network this season as the Big 12 tips off its new media era.
