Day 3 in Stockholm continues with a mix of experienced campaigners and rising names looking to make their mark on the fast indoor courts. With top seeds beginning to settle in and early-round winners carrying momentum, several of these matchups promise close contests decided by small shifts in rhythm and confidence. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the schedule. But who will advance?

ATP Stockholm Day 3 Predictions
Jesper de Jong vs Marton Fucsovics

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Both players will be taking the court for the first time this week. De Jong has played some great tennis in recent months, showing aggression and improved shot selection, but it hasn’t yet translated into the deep runs his form has hinted at. Fucsovics, on the other hand, brings plenty of experience and thrives in physical, baseline-heavy battles. This is their first meeting, and if De Jong maintains his attacking intent, he could make things interesting against the Hungarian’s consistency.

Prediction: Fucsovics in 2

Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Camilo Ugo Carabelli

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Both players arrive in Stockholm searching for a spark. Kovacevic is on a five-match losing streak dating back to the lead-up to the US Open, while Carabelli hasn’t fared much better, winning just once in his last six — a match that ended with his opponent’s retirement. This will be their first match here and their first meeting overall, giving both a clean slate to reset their form. Whoever settles first and finds some rhythm on serve could tilt the balance in their favor.

Prediction: Kovacevic in 3

Casper Ruud vs Marin Cilic

Head-to-Head: Ruud 3–0 Cilic

Ruud returns to Stockholm looking to build on a solid indoor stretch after finding improved rhythm toward the end of the season. The Norwegian’s serve and forehand have been clicking again, helping him win key matches in recent weeks. Cilic, a former champion here, continues his comeback from injury and will look to draw on his experience and proven indoor pedigree. They’ve split their previous encounters, and if Cilic rediscovers his timing early, this could be one of the day’s most competitive matches.

Prediction: Ruud in 3
