MILWAUKEE (WLUK) — The Antetokounmpo brothers are making NBA history with the Milwaukee Bucks.

ESPN reported Monday the team is signing Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way deal — meaning he’ll join two of his older brothers, Giannis and Thanasis, in Milwaukee.

It’s the first time ever that three brothers are on active roster NBA contracts with the same team.

Alex, 24, went undrafted in 2021. He spent some time in the G League — including with the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks’ affiliate in Oshkosh, from 2022-24 — but has been playing in Europe since last year.

Thanasis, 33, played for Milwaukee from 2019-24. He sat out last season to recover from a torn Achilles tendon, but was re-signed by the Bucks this summer.

Giannis, 30, has spent his entire 12-year NBA career in Milwaukee, becoming one of the league’s most decorated players of all time. He and Thanasis were leaders on the Bucks’ championship-winning team in 2021.

As for the other two Antetokounmpo brothers:

Kostas, 27, spent three seasons in the NBA and earned a title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. He has spent the last few seasons in Europe. Francis, 36, was a professional soccer player.
