Serena Williams was just trying to take her OOTD (outfit of the day) picture, but the cutest 2-year-old ever wouldn’t let her. She shared several snaps of her little “photobomber” daughter Adira that’ll melt your heart.
“Just a mom trying to take a picture but I keep getting photobombed,” the 23-time Grand Slam champion wrote on Instagram on Monday. In the picture, Williams stands in front of a mirror dressed in a red mini dress and pointy blush heels, with her blonde hair styled in curls around her shoulders. She looks gorgeous — as always! — but we are distracted by the little girl in the background.

Adira, who Williams shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, stands in the corner of the room showing off her cute ‘fit. The toddler has on a light pink t-shirt, light-wash blue jeans, and light pink, Hello Kitty shoes. Her short hair is curly like her moms, and she’s seemingly picking her nose (or scratching her face?) as she stares at herself in the mirror. If her Mama can do it, why can’t she?!
Williams shares several more pictures of her stunning look, usually accompanied by Adira. In one, she hugs her mom’s legs. In another, she sucks her thumb while hanging out on her mom’s hip. Adira’s in her clingy mom phase, and it’s too cute.
“DEEDEE!!!!!” Ohanian commented, using a cute nickname for their youngest daughter. Someone else wrote, “She loves her mommy.” Aww!
The Wyn Beauty founder, who is also mom to 8-year-old daughter Olympia, was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People earlier this year. In an interview for the recognition in April, Williams shared that she is sometimes triggered raising two daughters.
“When Olympia tells Adira no, I’m just like, ‘Excuse me, you have to share’ because it’s triggering,” she told the outlet. After all, Williams is a little sister herself to Venus Williams, and she knows how it feels.
On the other hand, Williams works hard not to give her baby too much attention and accidentally make Olympia feel bad. “I try to be less on baby, but she’s just so cute,” Williams said. “How do you not give her all the attention in the world? Oh my God. It’s so hard.”
It is hard, but Williams is doing a great job — and she knows it. Elsewhere in the interview, Williams shared, “I’m a wonderful mom. I think we, as women, don’t give ourselves credit, but I’m a great mom. I really am. I do everything. I’m freaking the room mom at Olympia’s school this year.”
And if sometimes she has to sacrifice the perfect photo, then so be it!
