Warner Bros. Discovery has picked up medical reality series “Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out” and “The 6000lb Diaries” for its European linear networks, the company has revealed.
The deal includes Seasons 1 and 2 of “Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out,” which follows world-renowned dermatological surgeon Dr. Sandra Lee as she treats patients suffering from painful, life-altering skin conditions. With a newly expanded clinic and a deeper look into her personal life, the series offers both medical insight and emotional storytelling.
Season 1 is set to bow in October, with Season 2 — which was recently renewed — rolling out new episodes through 2027.
“The 6000lb Diaries,” premiering in January 2026, introduces viewers to 10 individuals at a critical crossroads in their lives, seeking transformative bariatric surgery under the guidance of Dr. Now. Through intimate diary cams and raw confessionals, the series explores their emotional and physical journeys toward reclaiming their lives.
“These titles, featuring talent already familiar to audiences from previous TLC shows in the U.S., bolster WBD’s multi-local content strategy and deliver compelling entertainment,” said Andreas Lemos, director of international content at WBD.
The deals were unveiled on the sidelines of Mipcom.
The acquisitions strengthen Warner Bros. Discovery’s unscripted programming offering across Europe, adding to its slate of factual entertainment and reality content aimed at diverse audiences.
Warner Bros. Discovery operates across television, film and streaming platforms in over 220 countries. The company’s brands include HBO, Discovery Channel, CNN, TLC, HGTV, Food Network, Eurosport, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel and Warner Bros. studios.
