The Community at Work Job Fair, presented by CareerBridge IT Solutions will take place on October 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CNY Works, located at 960 James Street in Syracuse, NY. This event is a specialized job fair focused on accessibility and inclusion, offering adults with diverse abilities a chance to launch their careers. Job seekers will be able to explore industries, learn about positions and network with actively hiring companies. Participation is free for both job seekers and employers. Pre-registration for job seekers is encouraged and walk-ins will be welcome during the event.
While the fair is tailored for adults with diverse intellectual and physical abilities, experiences or access needs, all community members are welcome.
The event kicks off with registration and a panel moderated by the hosts of “Enable: The Disability Podcast.” Panelists will discuss real life tips for getting hired, navigating the job search process and interview advice from employers with open positions.
The goal of this event is to empower people by connecting them with employers who are eager to build diverse and inclusive teams, ultimately fostering confidence for both initial employment and long-term professional growth.
