Nearly three years after her death, Christine McVie’s treasured London penthouse has found new owners.
The wonderful home sold for $9.26 million, according to Mansion Global.
The new owners are a young European couple who came across the listing buzz amid their London house hunt, according to the brokerage Beauchamp Estates. They were one of several bidding parties — and they offered to pay the full listing price.
The Fleetwood Mac keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter purchased her two-story residence in the affluent neighborhood of Belgravia in 2015. The 2,674-square-foot penthouse spans two floors and includes a private terrace roof garden. Her loving refurbishment of the three-bedroom shined through the March listing photos — many of which were shot before McVie’s personal effects were auctioned off for music charities.

McVie passed away from a stroke in 2022 at the age of 79. She became an integral member of the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac in 1970, going on to write hits like “Don’t Stop,” “Everywhere,” “Little Lies” and “Songbird.” McVie also enjoyed a thriving solo career, which saw her release three studio albums and a duet album with former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham.
McVie’s death generated tributes from artists and music fans around the world. Her bandmate Stevie Nicks told Mojo Magazine just last year that there’s no Fleetwood Mac without McVie.
“Without Christine, no can do,” Nicks told Mojo. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

The listing of her home, too, generated headlines.
“The listing went live and there was then a huge wave of social media and traditional media interest. It was placed on the market in immaculate condition,” Rosy Khalastchy, director and head of Beauchamp Estates’ St. John’s Wood office, told The Post.
McVie’s lasting additions to the home include light oak parquet floors in the main reception room and bespoke details in the kitchen, like a breakfast bar and yellow tiling.

The home’s classic style is supported by vaulted ceilings and further accented by marble fireplaces. McVie balanced out the old-warm charm with mementos from her rock’n’roll career and other personal touches.
McVie’s European and Asian art collection lined living room walls in the listing photos, while collections of teddy bears and miniature pianos lined couches and curio cabinets. Two stitched pillows reading “Dougal Sleeps Here,” and “George Sleeps Here,” could be spotted in the primary bedroom, referencing McVie’s blonde Lhasa Apso dogs.
The new owners already have their new favorite spots identified.
“The couple especially like the two large reception rooms on the lower level of the penthouse and the huge private roof garden above the penthouse,” Khalastchy said. “Which is where Christine McVie liked to relax and entertain al fresco.”
