Joe Nuxhall to be honored with historical marker in Greater Cincinnati

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) – An official state historical marker honoring Joe Nuxhall will be dedicated Saturday at noon in Hamilton.

The marker stands at L.J. Smith Park, where Nuxhall was discovered by Reds scouts.

Nuxhall, who became the youngest player in Major League Baseball history, spent 16 years in the major leagues and 40 years in the Reds broadcast booth.
