SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A report of a shooting Thursday afternoon at a South Los Angeles middle school prompted a massive response from LAPD officers and campus police.

The incident was reported around noon at Los Angeles Academy Middle School and STEAM Magnet, near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Avalon Boulevard.

Authorities did not immediately confirm that a shooting had occurred, and there were no reports of injuries.

Video from AIR7 showed several patrol vehicles parked near the school’s front entrance as officers conducted a room-to-rom search of the campus.
