Good morning! The Knicks play their final preseason game against the Hornets tonight, and it sounds like Mike Brown would like this to be as much of a dress rehearsal as possible. That might be tough though, as Josh Hart, Mitchell Robinson, Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby are all slightly banged up to some degree. I doubt Brown wants to risk anything with the regular season just five days away. As always, we shall see…

Ready?

OK, here we go.

Part of the problem with being a content creator who appears on several different shows is that preseason predictions can become impossible. Aside from coming up with several different predictions, the spice level often fluctuates depending on the venue. For instance, I’m not going into the NY Post and predicting a 2.8 percent uptick in Jalen Brunson’s 3-point frequency. Sometimes, you gotta go big or go home.

But this…this is my safe zone. My happy place. The spot I can come to to be myself and not worry about the reaction it’ll get.

(Because God knows I’ve never written anything in here that has made anybody angry.)

With that in mind, what follows are three actual, 100 % f’real predictions for the 2025-26 Knicks. They are (mostly) unsexy, but that’s only because I think this team is a fairly known commodity, even with a different coach and new style of play.

Without further ado…

To put a number on it, I think he’ll put up fewer than 4.7 3-point attempts per game, which is what he averaged last season and was his lowest since firing off 4.6 3PA/gm in the 2018-19 season. I also don’t think it’ll be close.
