South Korea is about to host the APEC summit at the end of October in the city of Gyeongju, with the crème de la crème of world leaders expected to be in attendance, including US President Donald Trump.

South Korea will also host the APEC CEO summit – formally known as the CEO Summit Korea 2025 – in Gyeongju from October 28 to October 31, with planned discussions on energy transition, digital and AI transformation, and trade and biotechnology.

Samsung is planning to attract eyeballs and media coverage by unveiling its Galaxy Z TriFold at this global highlight event of the month.

Critically, event attendees will not be able to personally handle the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, with the phone expected to be showcased only under a glass panel.

Everything That Is Known Right Now About Samsung’s New Triple-Folding Phone

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will sport three display sections connected by two hinges, enabling its transformation into a full-sized tablet when unfurled.

It will feature a 10-inch OLED inner display and a 6.5-inch outer one.

Unlike Huawei Mate XT, Samsung’s new foldable will not combine inward and outward folds, and will instead adopt a U-shaped folding mechanism for screen protection. This means that the outer display will not merge with the inner display when the phone is unfurled.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will reportedly feature a titanium shell for increased durability.

It will also sport three batteries, with a combined capacity of over 5,000mAh.

The device will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

The phone is expected to launch in multiple countries, including the US, the UAE, and Vietnam.
