And just like that… Sabrina Carpenter is back in 30 Rock. The Grammy-winning pop star, fresh off debuting her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, will pull double duty on tomorrow night’s episode of Saturday Night Live as both host and musical guest.

If Carpenter’s SNL promos are any indication, the 26-year-old pop star is ready to showcase her charm and comedic chops. Ahead of Saturday’s episode, the “Manchild” singer stepped into iconic fictional New Yorker Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolo Blahniks, in a midweek sketch appropriately titled, Sabrina in the City. Carpenter, of course, was parodying the beloved Big Apple-set sitcom, Sex in the City, which ran from 1998 to 2004, and famously starred Sarah Jessica Parker.

“Sabrina, what are you up to?” asks new cast member Tommy Brennan, to which Carpenter responds, “In these heels? Probably, like, five four.” Carpenter then greets Marcello Hernandez as “Mr. Big,” before handing him her Cosmopolitan and walking off unbothered. Later, Carpenter walks into an office, where she sits down at a table and begins to write. In typical Bradshaw fashion, Carpenter narrates her inner thoughts as she types.

“The woman wondered what she’d gotten herself into,” Carpenter says, while typing on a laptop that isn’t actually turned on.

Another recent SNL promo even has some fans “shipping” Carpenter and Hernandez. Ahead of her episode, the “Nobody’s Son” pop star recorded a promo clip with the 28-year-old comedian, who thinks Carpenter’s going to “arrest him” come Saturday night.

“Hi, I’m Sabrina Carpenter, and I’ll be the host and musical guest this week on SNL, and I think I might need to arrest someone for being too hot,” she teases. Hernandez, holding out his wrists ready for cuffing, replies, “Oh, well, I turn myself in.” Carpenter looks past the camera, ignoring Hernandez, and says, “You’re under arrest, cameraman!”

Carpenter and Hernandez teamed up for a third promo, in which they lip-sync to a TikTok mashup of “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes and “Beez in the Trap” by Nicki Minaj.

This isn’t Carpenter’s first time on the NBC late-night sketch show. The “Nobody’s Son” hitmaker has made appearances twice before: First, as a musical guest for the Season 49 finale in 2024, and once more as a performer during SNL50: The Anniversary Special this past February. Unlike her previous appearances, tomorrow night will mark Carpenter’s first time taking on hosting duties.
