The Australian Short Story Festival (ASSF) has announced its 2025 program.
The festival will be held in Adelaide from 21 to 23 November 2025 under the theme “Good Things Come in Short Packages”.
Opening night will feature a gala and an inaugural quiz, followed by music and dancing, and the festival will close with writers debating, “Do plotters or pantsers rule?”. Panelists and workshop presenters include Cate Kennedy, Omar Musa, Jane Rawson, Jared Thomas, Jannali Jones and Michael Burge.
Festival director Anna Solding said, “What sets the Australian Short Story Festival apart from other festivals is its intimacy and camaraderie, and this year is no different. We encourage audiences to come and stay all day and then come back at night for the evening events […] There is certainly something for everyone here.”
More information about the festival, including the full program, is available on the website.
