What a lousy win against a lousy team playing a bunch of second-stringers. The Steelers game will be ugly. I know that most Packers feel the same way.
Mike, great gritty road win by the Packers. It wasn’t on in our area so thanks for the live blog. Looking ahead to Pittsburgh, do you think the condition of the field (or lack thereof) in Pittsburgh will influence whether or not Christian Watson is active for the game? I have nightmares of another Jordy Nelson type injury if he is brought back this week. I say save him for the second half of the season and not take any chances.
I hadn’t even thought about that until you brought it up. I guess we’ll see. Regardless, I’m sure his snap count will be limited in his first game back.
Just curious, were you on the first plane, or the delayed second one? And, is there assigned flights, as to who goes on which plane?
We were on the first one, the “staff” plane. It’s smaller than the one that takes the players and most of the coaches (some coaches get the business/first class seats on the staff plane). Everything is assigned, down to the seat, though Wes and I have our routine where he takes the window and I take the aisle no matter which nametag is where. The extra-long travel day had to be tough on the players.

After watching games today, I “hope” the owners will outlaw the “tush push” as well as the “tush pull.” I saw more pulling of players today, than I’ve seen in 15 years…
It’s just gotten ridiculous now, and anyone who thought it wouldn’t was being hopelessly naïve.
UW football just keeps sinking further.
With Oregon up next. Fun.
I feel so bad for the Brewers after a fantastic season. But, you have to give a tip of the hat to Shohei Ohtani. Do you think we will ever witness something that remarkable in any sport in a playoff setting? Offense and defense, simply amazing. It hurts.
Ohtani will be must-see TV in the World Series. Just an otherworldly player. I wish the Brewers could’ve given the Dodgers a run for their money (I’ll see myself out), but basically two-thirds of the lineup didn’t hit a ball hard the entire series and never looked like themselves at the plate. It’s hard to win when you don’t play your game.
I know it’s a line drive in the win/loss column, but it felt more like a check-swing bloop single over the outstretched glove of the leaping second basemen. It’s the NFL and any team can beat any other team, but it would sure be nice to have a victory like we had the first two games of the season. I just hope we can hit enough bloop singles that if we do play our best ball in December it will mean something. GPG!
It’s always better when that blooper drops in rather than gets snagged. Meanwhile, the ninth inning remains a long ways off.

“Not in my house either, but this is a family blog” is an all-timer, Mike. T-shirt worthy. I think MLF needs to start reading Inbox and One Last Look because they are not heeding the keys to victory you and Wes lay out. Sheesh.
I confess I had a rough live blog. Too many typos, other mistakes with yard markers. I’m still adjusting to my new computer, the press box view wasn’t great, and the press box TV was WAY behind the live action, much more so than usual. I’m making tons of excuses, and I felt like a mess up there. I’ll be better, and hopefully I made up for it with a **timely Game Recap**, which was posted about 90 minutes after the game ended.

Just another day in the life of a Packer fan.
Where do I start? A fourth victory with the Pack scoring 27 points! A 61-yard field goal by our substitute kicker! Jacobs playing hurt and going into beast mode! Parsons being absolutely unstoppable! LaFleur having the (stones) to go for the win on fourth down! The entire team enduring a 6-hour flight delay and still fighting to the end! And ARod and the Steelers up next! God, I love football.
Are you not entertained? Happy Monday.
