EXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, Netflix has won a hot package from Lord MillerThe In-Claus with Travis Braun penning the script.

Based on a short story by Braun and Gabrielle Meyer, the plot details are being kept under wraps. Chris Miller, Phil Lord, Aditya Sood and Lucy Kitada are producing for Lord Miller.

Kitada, Lord Miller Head of Film, brought the story to Lord Miller, with the producers instantly high on the script. The producers would quickly take the spec to the market. Netflix was blown away by the hot package and outbid multiple buyers to add it to development slate. The film gets added to Netflix’s robust family-friendly film slate, which includes the recent mega hit KPop Demon Hunters and the upcoming live-action Narnia film from Greta Gerwig.

Lord Miller is next behind the highly anticipated feature Project Hail Mary which will be released March 20, 2026, by MGM. Lord and Miller are directing the film and producing along with Aditya Sood, Amy Pascal, Ryan Gosling and Rachel O’Connor. The company is also producing the features The Last Expedition by Carly Wray based on a story by Andy Weir and Everyday Parenting Tips,written by Travis Braun based on the story by Simon Rich. On the television side, the company produced the upcoming 2026 MGM+ and Prime Video series Spider-Noir starring Nicholas Cage and is in development on a slate of live-action and animated series in both comedy and drama based on Sony’s Marvel Characters.

Lord and Miller previously won an Academy Award for their film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The third film in the franchise, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse which Lord and Miller wrote and are producing, will be released in June 2027. They are repped by UTA and JSSK

Braun is the only writer to ever top the Blacklist two years in a row. His sci-fi comedy Dying For You, horror film Bad Boy and romantic comedy One Night Only were consecutively selected for the Blacklist, with Bad Boy and One Night Only.

He is currently showrunning the animated series Cars: Lightning Racers for Disney and Pixar, based on the CARS Pixar franchise. He is represented by UTA, Echo Lake Entertainment and Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman.
