MATTHEWS, LA. – The South Dakota Men’s Golf team capped off a strong fall season with a historic showing at the La Tour Intercollegiate, finishing second overall and setting three new program records in the process.
ROUND ONE
The Coyotes opened the tournament with a solid performance, posting a team score of three-under-par to sit in fourth place after the first round. Joe Rohlwing led the team with a one-under-par round to set the tone early.
ROUND TWO
Despite improving their team score in round two, the Coyotes slipped to fifth place in the standings. Shoma Taguchi paced the squad with an impressive three-under-par round, keeping South Dakota within striking distance heading into the final day.
ROUND THREE
The final round proved to be historic for the Coyotes. Rohlwing delivered a record-breaking performance, carding a 10-under-par 62—the lowest individual round in program history—surpassing the previous mark set just last year.

These standout performances propelled South Dakota to a runner-up finish and marked an emphatic conclusion to the fall campaign.
The Coyotes will return to competition on February 15 at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Arizona, as they begin their spring season.
