Four bears were spotted lounging in a tree in a residential Encino neighborhood.
ENCINO, Calif. (KABC) — A group of as many as four bears on Wednesday afternoon were reported spotted lounging in a tree in a residential Encino neighborhood.
The bear sighting was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m. in the 16000 of Ashley Oaks, in a hilly area southwest of Hayvenhurst Avenue and Ventura Boulevard.
At least two of the bears were visible in aerial video from AIR7.
Bear sightings are not uncommon in Southern California’s foothill neighborhoods, but to see several bears together in a populated area is somewhat unusual.
