Plattsburgh murder suspect found guilty

A jury in Clinton County handed down a guilty verdict Wednesday night for Timothy Timmons in the shooting death of Jahfari Joseph in December 2024.The verdict follows a 10-day trial and just over a day of deliberations. Timmons was convicted on a single charge of second-degree murder.During the two-day deliberation, the jury asked to rewatch two videos that Timmons’ ex-wife took on the night of the shooting along with three full testimonies from other members of the Timmons family. They also listened to two recorded phone calls that Timothy Timmons made to his son, which were played in the courtroom for the first time Wednesday night.The jury initially requested to hear a fourth testimony, but after hearing the first three, said they didn’t need to hear it anymore.After Judge Keith Bruno read the verdict, the defense requested each juror say if they agreed with the verdict.
