Alex Ovechkin meets the Alex Ovechkin floss holder, a ‘sexy man’ that has unbelievable lettuce

Alex Ovechkin is the subject of frequent giveaways, and his 21st NHL season is no different.

The Washington Capitals are offering an Ovi-Wan-Kenobi bobblehead (Feb. 5) and an Alex Ovechkin tropical mug (Jan. 31) as gifts to fans who purchase special ticket offers in the winter. They’re also giving away an Alex Ovechkin floss holder to all fans in attendance at the January 7 Dallas Stars game at Capital One Arena.

Recently, the Capitals had Ovechkin meet the Ovechkin floss holder in the locker room at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, and Ovi, along with Tom Wilson, were impressed by one of its, uh, enhancements in particular.

“Wow! Tom Wilson screams in the Capitals social media video. “Oh, it has a pulled tooth. What a lettuce, though.”

“Lettuce is unbelievable,” replies Ovechkin, impressed by the slightly unrealistic poof of hair on the floss holder’s head.

“Great lettuce!” Wilson counters.

Ovechkin takes one last look at his floss holder. “Sexy man,” he says.

The two then begin singing in unison, “Sexy and I Know It” by LMAFO.

I’d like to note, in case you missed it, that the floss holder has floss coming out of the gap where Ovechkin’s missing tooth used to be. Brilliant.
