The Buc-ee’s empire continues to expand.

A new location for the convenience super store is set to open in Louisiana.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ruston, near Interstate 20 and Tarbutton Road. Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker and U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy are expected to attend.

Whether it’s their selection of BBQ sandwiches, merchandise or clean restrooms, the beaver has attracted consumers all over the U.S. Founded in 1982 in Clute, Texas, the superstore has crushed its competition while continuing to expand.

The company believes bigger is better. Last year, they opened their largest location in Luling, replacing the brand’s first family travel center with a 75,000-square-foot temple to highway convenience.

Here’s what to know about the new location.

Per their press release, the new travel center will cover 74,000 square feet and feature 120 fuel pumps. Inside, visitors will find Buc-ee’s well-known favorites, including Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, and an extensive selection of snacks, meals, and beverages.

Buc-ee’s claims the Ruston location will bring more than 200 full-time jobs to the area, offering starting wages above minimum wage along with comprehensive benefits.

“Ruston is a smart-growth town with a big attitude and the perfect location for us in NW Louisiana; that is a great combination for us, and we are honored to be here,” said Stan Beard, Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development.
