Mizzou Arena will be bringing fans closer to the action this college basketball season.

MU is implementing new courtside seating and expanding the venue’s student section for the 2025-26 campaigns, per an announcement from the athletics department. The changes were made, following Southeastern Conference (SEC) approval to allow schools to expand their respective courtside seating options.

Split into Three Parts

Addition of Two Sets of Four Sideline Seats (Near Benches)

Across From Benches:

Addition of Second “Tiger Row”

Baselines:

Addition of Seats to Left & Right of East & West Baskets

Student Section:

Expanded to Entire Width of Sections Behind West Basket

“Mini Mizzou” Moved Above Visiting Team Tunnel

“We’re thrilled to bring our fans even closer to the court,” Mizzou Athletics Director Laird Veatch said in a press release. “Between the new courtside seating, the prominent and elevated placement of Mini Mizzou and our passionate student section creating energy behind the basket, Mizzou Arena is going to feel more alive and intimidating than ever.”

MU Women’s Basketball will host Central Arkansas to begin its season on Monday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. while MU Men’s Basketball will wait until Friday, Nov. 7 for its home opener, facing SEMO at 7 p.m.
