PETE Davidson and Colin Jost’s $280,000 Staten Island Ferry is sitting decrepit and abandoned in a New York City harbor four years after the comedians made their admittedly “dumb” purchase.

The U.S. Sun has exclusively obtained photos of the massive vessel, which hasn’t been seen in over a year, looking rusted and rotted in its slip.

The ship appeared nowhere near close to the upscale entertainment venue the Saturday Night Live stars had envisioned.

From one angle, the famed ferry’s orange paint has faded into a faint pink after sitting unattended on the salty waters in the hot sun.

A look at Pete and Colin’s ship’s sides shows massive rusting, as well as what appears to be saltwater stains under the windows.

On the other side of the New York City Department of Transportation’s decommissioned ship appear to be a red paint job, which was partially covered by tarps.

ALL ABOARD?

Not only are the comedians forking over massive docking fees for the boat that they hoped to transform, they also have unpaid legal bills, according to a lawsuit filed against their company, Titanic 2, in New York.

The suit alleged there is an outstanding bill owed to the law firm Nicoletti, Hornig, Namazi, Eckert & Sheehan for $13,500.

The ship hasn’t been seen publicly since it was used for the Tommy Hilfiger show for New York Fashion Week in September of last year.

In a video posted to the fashion house’s Instagram, the ferry was wrapped in their iconic red, white and blue logo, as it sat in New York’s harbor in front of the Statue of Liberty.

Once the massive cloak was removed, the M.V. John F. Kennedy ferry looked pristine, with a fresh orange paint job with the iconic Staten Island Ferry written on the side in the DOT’s vintage font.

The ship looks far worse for wear today, as the comedians’ aspirations for the passenger barge seem to drift further out of reach.

In an interview in December 2024, Pete laid out his extensive vision for the vessel.

“We do have, believe it or not, an in-depth plan,” Pete told The Wall Street Journal at the time. “Every day I get asked about this f***ing boat, and we’re raising the funds.

“We’re going to do a floor at a time. There’s a full plan in motion, and meanwhile, people are renting it out.”

The ferry was hired out for Tommy Hilfiger’s fashion show.

While Colin attended the event, Pete did not.

The vessel also served as the set for a horror film, Steamboat Willie.

The ship’s renovation has experienced numerous setbacks over the last three years.

FRIENDSHIP OVER

Once close friends and SNL cast mates, Pete and Colin’s relationship ended in 2024 amid Pete’s personal struggles.

“Something big happened and Colin is now refusing to be in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete,” an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

“Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”

The pair shook hands when Pete made a cameo on SNL in November, though the interaction appeared tense.

Pete seemed to reference his rumored feud with Colin when speaking about his friend and fellow comedian, John Mulaney, as well as the few friends who have stood by him.

“I watched him as he took it on the chin a couple of years ago and had to completely revamp his life,” Pete said in the WSJ interview.

“I’m kind of in the midst of that now, and he’s been helping me so much. It was so inspiring to watch him beat his addiction, become an even bigger comedian, go on an arena tour, start a family. He’s so happy now and it looks effortless, but it’s not.

“And I’ve got to say, he’s always had my back and he’s always there, and not a lot of people are for me. I would say it’s just him, Lorne [Michaels] and Machine Gun Kelly.”

SHIP HAS SAILED

Back in March of 2024, architect Ron Castellano discussed the seemingly ever more distant vision for the ship in an interview with Curbed.

“It’s going to have a lot of things. I think right now, we have six bars and two venues operated separately or combined.

“We have outdoor event space, we have restaurants—two restaurants.

“It’s a big boat, almost 300 feet long, 65,000 square feet.”

“Where it ends up all depends on what kind of deal they can get with the City of New York,” an insider added.

“They’re all from the city, so the goal is for it to stay there.”
