WTA Hong Kong Open
Eala –Boulter: Time 13:00

H2H: 0-0

Alexandra Eala vs Katie Boulter is the most competitive match in this article. This is a meeting of two Top 80 players in the World. This will be the first meeting between these two players, but probably not the last. Eala has had a coming-out party this year, and it began at WTA Miami. After her upset of Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals, preceded by wins over Paula Badosa, Madison Keys, and Jelena Ostapenko, it has been clear that Eala is here to stay among the top players. Boulter reached the final of this very event last year, but she’s struggled mightily in 2025, going 22-21 overall; however, she does have one tournament victory at WTA Paris. Eala also has a tournament victory at WTA Guadalajara.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Katie Boulter as the favorite in this match. Both players are 5-5 in their last ten matches, but only one of them has been playing particularly well lately. Boulter last reached a quarterfinal in June of this year. Eala made the quarterfinals at Suzhou at the start of October. She also made the semifinals at WTA Jingshan right before that. She had another quarterfinal before that, and then a tournament victory before that quarterfinal. Eala is on a four-match losing streak, but I genuinely think she’s playing better than Boulter right now.

That being said, Eala winning is a value bet for sure.

Chong – Lamens: Time 08:30

H2H: 1-1

Eunice Chong vs Suzan Lamens will mark the third time these two have met. The series is currently tied at 1-1, and both previous matches were at an ITF level, so this will be their first WTA match. Lamens won the 2024 indoor match in the first round of ITF Roehampton 3, and Chong won the 2022 round-of-16 match at ITF Caldas de Rainha, which was a hardcourt match. Chong is 4-6 in her last ten matches, and this is her fifth Hong Kong Open. Lamens reached the quarterfinal in her only appearance back in 2024, and she is 3-7 in her last ten matches.

Best Bet to Make

This is a matchup of poor form vs really poor form, and I’m not sure who is who. The books heavily favor Lamens by about 12-1. The books favor Lamens so much that you’re going to need to take a chance on a games total if you really want to cash in. There’s a nice sweet spot from about under 18 games to 17 games where it might be worth your time to wager. I think the over/under on 17.5 games is the way to go. You get the same value going either way, and that’s about as good as it is going to get for these two players.

That being said, Under 17.5 is a value bet for sure.

Kenin – Sakatsume: Time 07:00

H2H: 0-0

Sofia Kenin vs Himeno Sakatsume rounds out our coverage here. Kenin is coming off a solid performance at WTA Tokyo, making it to the semifinals before losing a back-and-forth match with Belinda Bencic. Sakatsume is 6-4 in her last ten, and has one ITF title this year. Sakatsume is a rising talent in Japanese tennis, having achieved this status at the relatively young age of 24. She’s 39-22 overall this year and 32-18 on a hardcourt. Kenin is 31-25 overall and 19-17 on a hardcourt in ’25. While Sakatsume is having a great year, much of her success is coming at the ITF level, which is why we need to discuss betting lines next.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Kenin as a 3.75-1 favorite. The best way to make money on Kenin is to take her winning 2:0 at 1.78 on 1xBet. There are a few bets you can place on the over/under on total games played, but I think taking the correct score is more financially rewarding. The only potential issue here is that Kenin has gone to a third set in five of her last ten matches. The good news is that she won three of those five. Sakatsume has only gone to a third set one time in her last ten matches, so glean from that what you will.

That being said, Kenin winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
