A Triad mother is facing charges after the death of a 13-year-old, according to officers with the High Point Police Department.Officers said they responded to a welfare check at a home on East Farris Avenue on Oct. 13. During the check, a 13-year-old girl was found dead. Officers also found a 13-year-old boy inside the home.SVU detectives with the High Point Police Department began investigating. On Oct. 30, detectives said they arrested Kymberli Bowden, the mother of the two children. Bowden, 44, has been charged with two counts of felony child abuse and concealment of death.According to the warrant, Bowden “failed to provide adequate food and medical care” to her daughter, which resulted in serious bodily injury and ultimately her death.
