Manchester United are hoping for progress on potential outgoings this week and one player could join Atletico Madrid this summer.

Manchester United are finally close to signing Bryan Mbeumo.

Mbeumo is set for a United medical ahead of completing his long-awaited move from Brentford, with his imminent arrival serving as a major boost for Ruben Amorim.

The Cameroonian forward is another key part of the attacking puzzle, after United snapped up Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

United now need to offload attackers in order to fund other incoming business, with progress expected this week.

Marcus Rashford is set to join Barcelona, while Juventus are moving for Jadon Sancho as the England internationals near United exits.

Alejandro Garnacho has been told to leave United this summer, while Antony is expected to leave Old Trafford.

United sent Antony out on loan to Real Betis in January, hoping to see the Brazilian put himself in the shop window.

What we witnessed is something few could have predicted, with Antony hitting nine goals and five assists in just 26 games for Betis.

For comparison, Antony’s United record stands at 12 goals and five assists, but across 70 more appearances.

The 25-year-old is available this summer, and while Betis continue to chase Antony’s signature, he could join a Spanish rival.

iNews report that Atletico Madrid are now emerging as the favourites to sign Antony, with Betis struggling to raise funds for a deal.

Atletico showed an interest in Antony earlier this year, and now appear to be ready to make a move for the wide man ahead of Betis.

United are willing to cash in for around £30million, a price Real Betis have not yet offered, and their delay could see Atletico pounce.

United need Antony cash

Amorim has made it clear that Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho and Antony simply aren’t part of his plans at Old Trafford.

All four can leave, but Rashford and Sancho currently look most likely to leave on loan.

Perhaps that leads to a permanent deal down the line, but it won’t provide a major cash boost this summer.

Interest in Garnacho hasn’t resulted in a firm cash bid, meaning Antony is now United’s best chance of a cash injection.

United are interested in Nicolas Jackson, but sales are needed in order to fund a move for the Chelsea striker.

Antony could now become the main player to raise funds, with United hoping Atletico make an offer very quickly.
