Deadline has confirmed that Warner Bros is in advance negotiations for Shiver which will bring Keanu Reeves together to star in a sci-fi pic directed by Deadpool‘s Tim Miller.

Aaron Ryder is producing with Matthew Vaughn, who made the Kingsman and Kickass movies.

Ian Schorr penned the screenplay which is billed as having Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows hues. Schorr wrote the 2021 Paramount+ Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor feature, Infinite and the Sony Crackle title Office Uprising.

THR first had the story about the WME package. Early reported details is that the project is set in the Caribbean Sea with the protag being a smuggler slumming on a job as he contends with dead bodies, pirates and sharks, all within a time loop.

Reeves is currently on Broadway with his Bill & Ted co-star Alex Winter, slaying in Waiting for Godot at the Hudson Theatre. He can also be seen in movie theaters in Lionsgate’s Asi Ansari starring and directed angel/body-swap comedy Good Fortune.

Miller recently created and directed on the Netflix series Love, Death & Robots. He also directed the Skydance Paramount sequel Terminator: Dark Fate which reteamed Linda Hamilton with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
