HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The City of Hendersonville said an internal investigation is being conducted into the Public Works Department.
A spokesperson for the city issued a statement on Friday, saying the investigation was opened to “gather facts surrounding a concern” in the department.
The city said additional information will be provided after the investigation is complete.
“The City of Hendersonville holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,” the city said in a statement.
No details about the concern prompting the internal investigation have been released.
The Hendersonville Public Works Department handles responsibilities like street maintenance, recycling, traffic signals, garbage collection, and downtown beautification.
