INDIO, Calif. (KESQ) – A new piece of public art on the Fred Waring Drive bridge near Madison Street is turning heads across the Coachella Valley.
The recently unveiled installation features a series of sequential silhouettes designed to create a flipbook-style optical illusion as drivers pass by. The effect makes the images appear to move, transforming a simple bridge crossing into a brief, animated experience.
Photos and videos of the artwork have quickly gone viral on social media, where many users are praising the creativity and visual impact.
But not everyone is convinced the design is entirely positive. Some residents have raised concerns about potential driver distraction, arguing that the illusion could draw attention away from the road.
