When the governed believe that those whom they elected to govern have enacted policies that fuel social injustice (unjust economic practices and inhumane treatment of any person), the time has come for individual citizens to take action.

In taking collective, nonviolent action alongside the disenfranchised, concerned Americans will march, boycott, sit-in and demand corrective responses from their elected officials.

Waiting for a singular hero to emerge, while the masses simply watch, is counterproductive to transformative change. Change requires a group effort. Our nation is at a moral crossroads: Will we wring our hands as we whisper our righteous contempt for the many travesties we see and hear each passing day, or will we actively demonstrate our cherished beliefs and values by joining the cause for fairness, equality, tolerance and respect for all?
