Firefighters worked for hours overnight after flames tore through the old Bantam Jeep building in Butler. The first calls to 911 came in just before 2 a.m. Firefighters were greeted by massive flames shooting through the roof and windows of the historic building. Firefighters also battled heavy smoke in the area as well. Crews from a number of different fire departments responded as firefighters worked for hours to knock the flames down. According to Butler County dispatchers, the fire rekindled around 9 a.m. Sunday morning. The building is the former site of the Bantam Jeep factory. Many community members also know it as the old Pullman Office building. The building itself is located on Bantam Avenue behind Pullman Square. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
