In the world of daytime soap operas, we’re often faced with couples we love, couples we can’t stand, and some that just leave us wondering how to feel. Recently, Soap Opera News ran a poll asking fans which potential couple they’d “ship.” The poll featured five pairs — one from each daytime soap: Beyond the Gates, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless.
So, how did the poll turn out? Let’s dive in!
Number 1: Sonny and Justine on GH
Stealing the number-one spot with 27.73% of the vote was General Hospital’s Justine Turner and Sonny Corinthos, played by Nazneen Contractor and Maurice Benard, respectively.
So far, these two haven’t shared so much as a kiss or even a touch, but one thing that can’t be denied is the chemistry that lights up the screen every time they’re together.
Number 2: Daphne and Carter on B&B
Coming in close at second place with 24.38% was none other than The Bold and the Beautiful’s Daphne Rose and Carter Walton, portrayed by Murielle Hilaire and Lawrence Saint-Victor.
Unlike the aforementioned duo, these two have already locked lips, and the spark between them is undeniable; the chemistry is palpable! It’s easy to see why fans are rooting for them. Would you?
Number 3: Daniel and Tessa on Y&R
In third place, with 23.36% of the vote, was The Young and the Restless’ Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Following behind in fourth was Beyond the Gates’ Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe) and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) with 10.16%, and rounding out the list in fifth place with 9.69% was Days of Our Lives’ Ari Horton (Marissa Reyes) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews).
