FT: Brighton 2-3 Manchester United
Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to Sky Sports on conceding two today: “Typical after the international break we’ve got a few players that are on different wavelengths just because they’ve only had a day of training. I think more important it’s about the win. Some great goals, Lisa’s [Naalsund] finish sums it up, she’s been working on that, so well done to her. More importantly three points and welcome back Hannah Blundell after pregnancy, which is a fantastic story in itself.
“I think I’ll feel it on the way home, the pride for her. She’s been waiting a long time, working extremely hard., Jayde’s [Riviere] playing well, so it’s hard for her but when she came on she showed the quality and class she already has, so I want to congratulate her on an epic fightback.”
On Jess Park and Ella Toone: “When they have that relationship, I just watched from the wings and saw how close they are and they bring each other to life. They bring the team to life as well in different tight areas.
“It shows a budding relationship and what they both bring to the team.”
