Next season, things could look very different.

Free agency is getting underway after the MLB season concluded Saturday with Game 7 of the World Series.

On Sunday, MLB released a list of the veterans who are becoming free agents from each team.

There were a whopping nine Phillies on the list:

There are a lot of players on that list who would be good to get back if the contract made sense.

Schwarber will be in the highest demand. He’s only a DH at this point, but he just hit 56 home runs.

Suarez is a strong starting pitcher.

Realmuto, even as he ages, is still a solid catcher and hitter.

Kepler, Robertson and Buehler have all had their moments during their MLB careers.

Philadelphia will likely try to retain a player or two off this list, but certainly not all of them.

That means, by default, there’ll be some new Phillies in 2026. That’ll be exciting. But first, these free agent entrants become a bit like something that can be missed.
