Bronny James is on the board, as he recorded his first points of the season in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 130-120 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday.

The Lakers reserve guard scored his first points of the season by finishing a lob from Austin Reaves with a demonstrative slam:

That had Lakers fans hype:

Bronny has continued to be an end-of-the-bench player for these Lakers, appearing in just three games (and 28 total minutes) before Sunday. In his first three contests, he shot 0-for-3 from the floor.

He went 1-for-4 from the floor on Sunday, finishing the game with two points while logging 18 minutes.

Luka Dončić, meanwhile, logged a triple-double as he posted 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Reaves added 26 points and 11 rebounds.

But with the Lakers without LeBron James, Deandre Ayton, Gabe Vincent and Maxi Kleber against the Miami Heat, head coach JJ Redick had to go deeper into the bench. That meant minutes for Bronny, and a memorable lob for his first points of the 2025-26 season.
